Three musicians, countless sonic pathways, and a journey to the outer edges of jazz: with Wabjie, each piece seems to emerge from a gradual process of transformation — sounds shift in scale, contours dissolve, and musical textures pass from one instrument to another until it becomes impossible to tell where they begin or end. 

Singer and bassist Soraya Berent, pianist and keyboard player Michel Wintsch, and drummer-percussionist Samuel Jakubec create a music of in-between spaces, shaped by transitions, progressions and fleeting appearances. Instrumentals extend into electronics, resonances echo one another, and timbres merge to create surprising continuities. This constant process of transformation lends the performance an almost cinematic quality: soundscapes unfold seamlessly, carried by an invisible current beneath the surface. 

Both meticulously constructed and open to surprise, Wabjie offers a unique listening experience in which every sound seems to contain the promise of another: an invitation to listen closely and follow the music into still-uncharted territory.
