For this exceptional programme, the singers explore two distinct ways of telling stories through the voice.

On one side is Partita for 8 Voices by Caroline Shaw, a landmark work in which timbres intersect, collide and combine in a fascinating feat of sonic architecture. On the other is Elevator Songs, created in collaboration with Gabriel Kahane, a sequence of musical narratives that sketches a mosaic of lives, eras and sensibilities. Balancing collective precision with interpretative freedom, the eight voices create a space where humour, vulnerability, memory and wonder coexist.
