Circus Disco transforms the circus ring into an unstable, glittering and delightfully chaotic dancefloor. Alone at the centre of his monumental sculpture Crescendo, Julian Vogel orchestrates a celebration where everything seems on the verge of tipping over: knives slice through the air, ceramic plates teeter precariously, music spills beyond its limits, and danger itself becomes a source of exhilaration. 

A diabolo specialist trained in Bern, Vogel has developed a distinctive stage language at the intersection of contemporary circus, performance and visual art. Through this monumental work, he plays with the conventions of spectacle only to derail them, combining precision, glitter, risk-taking and a finely tuned sense of comic disaster.
