A bass guitar, keyboards, drum machines and two voices. Générique Mardi need little more to create their raw, mesmerising and deeply moving world. Formed in 2022 through the meeting of Juliette Pym and Bonella Holloway, the duo draws on spoken word, no wave and a lo-fi pop sensibility tinged with delicate melancholy. On the tracks of their debut album Rebecca, released in 2024, melodies repeat like mantras while the lyrics, moving between French and English, explore the fractures of everyday life: anxiety, dependency, attachment, desire and the impulses that carry us forward.

Emerging from the world of contemporary art, Générique Mardi share a fascination with simple forms capable of shifting perception. Beneath their apparent restraint, the songs question social norms, the mechanisms that shape our behaviour and the stories we construct in order to make sense of the world. At Bongo Joe, La Bâtie invites you to discover this curious bittersweet celebration, where vulnerability becomes a collective strength.
