Imagine a melody that gently lures you along a flower-lined path, then gradually draws you deeper into a dense forest. The scent of the trees surrounds you and the music, once intimate and delicate, swells into something orchestral.
Performed in the open air, nestled in greenery, the music will guide the audience step by step, in a solo, a duet or a trio. Then, like following an imaginary bird, you’ll be led indoors, where the full orchestra awaits to perform the rest of Robert Schumann’s Waldszenen (Forest Scenes), including the evocative Bird as Prophet.
For the occasion, Salle du Lignon will be transformed into an enchanted forest, brought to life by the magical lighting designs of Sophie Le Meillour.
