On his latest album, On va jamais mourir, released at the end of 2024, the Geneva-based artist cranks the dial of introspection up yet another notch, touching on his grandmother, fatherhood, dreams of success, life itself, his mates, promises not always kept and lost ideals. Chien Bleu’s writing remains as razor-sharp as ever and his musical universe has broadened into something more urban and grittier. On stage, he surrounds himself with musicians who lend a thoroughly organic, almost rock-infused tone – a way to reconnect with his punk roots while still delivering, with vigour, the precision and immediacy that give his lyrics their power.
